The People's Republic of China vs Hip-Hop

Everyone knows the Chinese government likes to put restrictions on its citizens, especially when it comes to social media, free speech and anything else they deem inappropriate. 

On January 19, 2018, Hip-Hop and anybody repping the culture will be banned from the eyes and ears of the mainstream Chinese public. The reason for all this is murky at best.

Here's the lame excuse.

Absolutely do not use actors whose heart and morality are not aligned with the party and whose morality is not noble. Absolutely do not use actors who are tasteless, vulgar and obscene.Absolutely do not use actors whose ideological level is low and have no class. Absolutely do not use actors with stains, scandals and problematic moral integrity.”
